Description:
Everyone joins in the first part of the worship, then the children and youth leave for classes after the time with the young people. Did you know that our popular thematic approach for Worship & Sunday School is home- grown? Our ministers, Elizabeth & Cheryl develop the theme series for the year based on bible stories. Emphasis is placed on balancing stories from the Old Testament and New Testament as well as themes for the seasons (Advent and Lent etc.). Cheryl Kirk then creates the Sunday School curriculum for our popular Learning Centre approach in Sunday School. The focus is on creative and fun activities (craft, drama, computer centre, kitchen, etc.) which reinforce the lesson for the week and help the children and youth to relate the bible story to their lives today. This approach saves Trinity dollars - Sunday School curriculum is expensive to buy. Plus this approach is superior because it is created specifically to meet the needs of our children and youth. And our teachers like it too! Resources for Vacation Bible School are developed in the same low-cost efficient way.
